Frostheim at Warcraft Hunters Union: We just got an update last night to the patch notes for patch 4.3.2, including a hunter buff for all specs, and even a little bit of a survivability buff. All hunter changes in the patch notes now include:
- Aspect of the Hawk now grants roughly 35% more attack power.
- Deterrence now also reduces damage taken by 30% while active.
- Black Arrow now ticks every 2 seconds for 20 seconds, as opposed to every 3 seconds for 15 seconds. The total damage dealt by the ability is unchanged.
- Lock and Load no longer benefits Arcane Shot, nor is it consumed by Arcane Shot.
The big buff here is Aspect of the Hawk. Currently it gives hunters 2,000 base ranged attack power, so the change should bring it to 2,700 RAP. The buff of 700 RAP is a bit less than half the amount that we’d expect to see if we got the full 20% AP from the raid buff (that would have net us a bit over 2k RAP, depending on individual gear) — and of course that RAP is buffed by talents, specializations, and raid buffs. . . .
