Still missing is the “Oil Coated Wolf” from the Borean Tundra oil fields. It can be a difficult tame, maybe even considered an exploit to do, because timing is razor thin ciritcal.
To tame it, you need to have the quest “Lupus Poopus” and feed the one you are about to tame. Taming it just gives you a normal wolf. But, if you tame it, just as it vanishes (part of the quest effect) you wont think it worked, as the beast vanishes, pet tame seems to have failed, and you might even notice you still have an empty pet slot.
But, when you try calling a pet, it will say you have one out. If you try to dismiss you receive the message no pet to dismiss. I needed to go to the Stable master to swap pets around, and there it was, my oil soaked wolf.
I never turned in that quest, just in case other hunters want to tame one. I can go back, pick up the quest again, and let them have a go at it.
