Frostheim at Warcraft Hunters Union: A couple people have asked me about the thread asking for theorycrafting feedback and asked if I was going to toss in my two cents publicly there. The answer: maybe. Here’s the dirty secret: I hate leveling and I’m far too easily distracted in a beta environment, and as a result I’m not yet level 90 on the beta, so I can’t know the final level 90 dps numbers — I’m pretty sure the coefficients of the abilities aren’t going to change at 90, but I certainly don’t know what the base damage levels are. Anyhow, I was really waiting for level 90 premades to be available before I crunched the numbers to avoid the leveling grind (which, you know, I’m going to have to do again when the expansion released — and in Cata beta it really sucked to level to 90 twice).
And in a bit of bad timing for that thread asking for theorycrafter numbers and opinions — there’s already another patch hitting that the dataminers have found significant hunter changes for. Now, if I had sat down did the math comparing A Murder of Crows vs Dire Beast, for example, to give constructive feedback for that thread, I’d be pretty flippin’ annoyed right now to find out that I have to throw it all out the door. Perhaps even really annoyed. Just as an example, you know. Damnit. Seriously, why not wait until just after the patch to ask for the number crunching? Is that so hard?
