Each guide covers one aspect of the changes that hunters will be undergoing in MoP e.g. talents, abilities, gear, pets, glyphs, etc.. Along with basic information, the guides also contain links to relevant hunter blog posts, videos, and forum discussions. These guides are updated regularly as new information becomes available. New and Changed Glyphs

  • Major Glyphs
    • Glyph of Aimed Shot If used while your Camouflage is active, your Aimed Shot ability also reduces the target’s movement speed by 50% for 6 sec.
    • Glyph of Animal Bond While your pet is active, all healing done to you and your pet is increased by 10%.
    • Glyph of Arcane Shot  Removed
    • Glyph of Black Ice While you move through the area affected by your Ice Trap you gain 50% movement speed.
    • Glyph of Camouflage Your Camouflage ability now provides stealth even while moving, but your movement speed while Camouflage is active is reduced by 50%.
    • Glyph of Chimera Shot Increases the healing you receive from Chimera Shot by an additional 5% of your maximum health.
    • Glyph of Deterrence Increases the damage reduction granted by Deterrence by 20%.

    • Glyph of Distracting Shot (New) – Your Distracting Shot now distracts the target to attack your pet instead of you.
    • Glyph of Endless Wrath While Bestial Wrath is active, your pet cannot be killed, but can still be damaged.
    • Glyph of Explosive TrapYour Explosive Trap also knocks enemies back from the trap when it explodes. (Watch a video of Glyph of Explosive Trap in action)
    • Glyph of Icy Solace Your Freezing Trap also removes all damage over time effects from the target.
    • Glyph of Marked for Death Your Arcane Shot, Chimera Shot, Kill Command, and Explosive Shot abilities automatically apply Hunter’s Mark. (This will cancel a regular Hunter’s Mark on any target)
    • Glyph of Mend Pet Gives your Mend Pet ability a 50% chance of cleansing 1 Curse, Disease, Magic or Poison effect from your pet each tick.
    • Glyph of Mirrored Blades When attacked by a spell while in Deterrence, you have a 100% chance to reflect it back at the attacker. (Only works on cast spells)
    • Glyph of Pathfinding Increases the speed bonus of your Aspect of the Cheetah and Aspect of the Pack by 8%, and increases your speed while mounted by 10%. The mounted movement speed increase does not stack with other effects.
    • Glyph of No Escape Increases the ranged critical strike chance of all of your attacks on targets affected by your Ice Trap and Freezing Trap by 6%.
    • Glyph of Steady Shot Your Steady Shot now reduces the target’s movement speed by 50% for 6 sec if used on a target within 8 yards.
    • Glyph of Tranquilizing Shot Your Tranquilizing Shot no longer costs Focus, but has a 10 sec cooldown.
  • Minor Glyphs
    • Glyph of Aspect of the Beast Changed to base ability
    • Glyph of Aspects Each time you activate a new Aspect, an animal companion representing that Aspect will follow you for 15 sec. [See a screenshot of the companions]
    • Glyph of the Cheetah Your Aspect of the Cheetah no longer causes you to be dazed when struck. Instead, the effect is cancelled and all your Aspects are placed on a 4 sec cooldown.
    • Glyph of Tame Beast Reduces the time required to complete Tame Beast by (4000/-1000) sec.

Baseline

  • Arcane Shot: 22 focus, 40 yard range. An instant shot that causes 65% weapon damage plus 1 as Arcane damage.
  • Aspect of the Beast: The hunter takes on the aspects of a beast, becoming untrackable. Only one Aspect can be active at a time.
  • Aspect of the Fox The Hunter takes on the aspects of a fox, allowing him to shoot Steady Shot, Cobra Shot, and Barrage while moving and causing him to gain 2 Focus whenever he receives a melee attack.
  • Aspect of the Hawk: Instant, One sec cooldown. The Hunter takes on the aspects of a hawk, increasing ranged attack power by 10%.
  • Binding Frenzy 100 yd range, instant. Your pet is in a frenzy while inside of your Binding Shot, increasing damage by 15%.
  • Camouflage 20 focus, instant, 60 second cooldown. You blend into your surroundings, causing you and your pet to be untargetable by ranged attacks. Also reduces the range at which enemy creatures can detect you, and provides stealth while stationary. You can lay traps while camouflaged, but any damage done by you or your pet will cancel the effect. If cast while in combat, lasts for 6 sec. Otherwise, lasts for 60 sec.
  • Concussive Shot has been returned to the game.
  • Deterrence Instant, 2 min cooldown. When activated, causes you to deflect melee attacks, ranged attacks, and spells, and reduces all damage taken by 30%. While Deterrence is active, you cannot attack. Lasts 5 sec.
  • Disengage Instant, 25 sec. cooldown. You attempt to disengage from combat, leaping backwards. Can only be used while in combat. [See a video of Disengage beta functionality.]
  • Explosive Trap Place a fire trap that explodes when an enemy approaches, causing 216 to 277  Fire damage and burning all enemies for (32 * 10) additional Fire damage over 20 sec to all within 0 yards.  Trap will exist for 1 min.
  • Fetch Retrieves the loot from a nearby corpse.
  • Fervor 30 second CD, Instantly restores 50 Focus to you and your pet.
  • Hunter’s Mark Places the Hunter’s Mark on the target, increasing the ranged damage of all attackers against that target by 5%. In addition, the target of this ability can always be seen by the hunter whether it stealths or turns invisible. The target also appears on the mini-map. Lasts for 5 min.
  • Kill Shot You attempt to finish the wounded target off, firing a long range attack dealing 85% weapon damage plus (RAP*0.45+0). Kill Shot can only be used on enemies that have 20% or less health. If Kill Shot fails to kill the target, the cooldown is instantly reset, but cannot be reset more often than once every 6 sec.
  • Multi-Shot 40 focus, 40 yard range, instant. Fires several missiles, hitting your current target and all enemies within 8 yards of that target for 60% of weapon damage.
  • Rapid Fire Instant. 3 min. cooldown . Increases ranged attack speed by 40% for 15 sec.
  • Revive Pet 35 focus, 6 sec cast. Revive your pet, returning it to life with 100% of its base health.
  • Serpent Sting 25 focus, 40 yard range. Causes 11,275 Nature damage over 15 sec.
  • Snake Trap Place a nature trap that will release several venomous snakes to attack the first enemy to approach.  The snakes will die after 15 sec.  Trap will exist for 1 min. [See a video demonstrating the new snake trap mechanics]
  • Stampede 30 yd range, 3 sec cast, 10 minute cooldown. Summons all of your pets to fight your current target for 10 sec. [See a video of Stampede in action and videos testing Stampede with Spirit Mend, Beast Cleave, and Bestial Wrath.][Read Preliminary Stampede test results]
  • Steady Shot 40 yard range, 2 sec cast. A steady shot that causes 65% weapon damage plus 0. Generates 9 Focus.
  • Symbiosis (hunter)  When Symbiosis (druid) is cast on you by a druid, a button will be replaced by the new ability you have temporarily learned. [Hunters gain Dash from all druid specs. The druids will gain: Feign Death (Feral), Ice Trap (Guardian), Misdirection (Balance), or Deterrence (Resto) from us.]
  • Tracking Allows the tracking of various types of creatures: Beasts, Demons, Dragonkin, Elementals, Giants, Hidden, Humanoids, and Undead. Activated through tracking interface.
  • Trap Launcher  Instant. 1.5 sec cooldown. While active, your Traps are launched to a target location within 40 yards.
    • Trap Launcher is a toggle now, like aspects. When on, all traps are launched and when off all traps are dropped at your feet. – Adyssa
    • You can change aspects and trap launcher at the same time. They are off the GCD and don’t share any cooldown with each other at all. – Jackbower
  • Trueshot Aura Grants 10% increased melee and ranged attack power and 5% increased critical strike chance to all party and raid members within 100 yards.

Specialization Abilities

Beast Mastery

  • Kill Command  – lvl 10.  37 focus, 100 yard range, 6 sec cooldown. Give the command to kill, causing your pet to instantly inflict ((0+(RAP*0.516))*1) damage to its target. The pet must be within 25 yards of the target to Kill Command. (See a video of Kill Command in action)
  • Go for the Throat – lvl 20. Your auto-shot critical strikes cause your pet to generate 10 Focus and your Arcane Shot critical strikes reduce the Focus cost of your pet’s next Basic Attack by 100% for 12 sec.
  • Beast Cleave – lvl 24.  After you Multi-shot, your pet’s melee attacks also strike all other nearby enemy targets for 70% as much for the next 4 sec. (Works for auto and basic attacks but not for Kill Command. – Wintersgrace. See a video of Beast Cleave in action.)
  • Frenzy – lvl 30. Your pet has a 40% chance to gain 15% increased attack speed after attacking with a Basic Attack, lasting for 30 sec and stacking up to 5 times.
  • Focus Fire – lvl 32. Instant. Consumes your pet’s Frenzy Effect stack, restoring 10 Focus to your pet and increasing your ranged haste by 8% for each Frenzy Effect stack consumed. Lasts for 20 sec.
  • Bestial Wrath – lvl 40.  1 min cooldown (down from 2 min), Send your pet into a rage causing 20% additional damage for 10 sec. The beast does not feel pity or remorse or fear and it cannot be stopped unless killed. While The Beast Within is not showing up in spellbooks, it is reported that it still activates with Bestial Wrath – Spirál
  • Cobra Strikes – lvl 43. You have a 15% chance when you hit with Arcane Shot to cause your pet’s next 2 Basic Attacks to critically hit.
  • Kindred Spirits – lvl 58. Passive. Increases your maximum focus and your pet’s maximum focus by 20.
  • Intimidation – lvl 20. Instant, 1 min. cooldown. Passive. Command your pet to intimidate the target, stunning it for 3 seconds.
  • Invigoration – lvl 63. When your pet deals damage with a Basic Attack, you have a 15% chance to instantly regenerate 20 Focus.
  • Exotic Beasts - lvl 69. You master the art of beast training, teaching you the ability to tame Exotic pets and reducing the cooldown of your Pet Special Abilities by 30%.
  • Cobra Shot – lvl 81. 40 yard range, 2 sec cast. Deals 115% weapon damage (up from 100%)  plus (1+(RAP*0.017)) in the form of Nature damage and increases the duration of your Serpent Sting on the target by 115 sec. Generates 9 Focus.
  • Mastery: Master of Beasts

Marksmanship

  • Aimed Shot – lvl 10. 50 focus, 40 yard range, 2.9 sec cast. A powerful aimed shot that deals 160% ranged weapon damage plus 17,715.
  • Careful Aim – lvl 20. Increases the critical strike chance of your Steady Shot and Aimed Shot by 60% on targets who are above 90% health. (No longer includes Cobra Shot)
  • Concussive Barrage – lvl 30. Your successful Chimera Shot and Multi-Shot attacks daze the target for 4 sec.
  • Bombardment – lvl 45. When you critically hit with Multi-Shot, your Multi-Shot’s focus cost will be reduced by 50% for 5 sec.
  • Rapid Recuperation – lvl 46. You gain 12 focus every 3 sec while under the effect of Rapid Fire.
  • Master Marksman – lvl 58. You have a 60% chance when you Steady Shot to gain the Master Marksman effect, lasting 30 sec. After reaching 5 stacks, your next Aimed Shot’s cast time and focus cost are reduced by 100% for 10 sec.
  • Chimera Shot – lvl 60. 50 focus, 44 yard range, 9 sec cooldown . An instant shot that causes 115% ranged weapon Nature damage plus (73.2% of RAP + 2,292), refreshing the duration of your Serpent Sting and healing you for 5% of your total health.
  • Steady Focus – lvl 63. When you Steady Shot twice in a row, your ranged attack speed will be increased by 15% and your steady shot will generate 3 additional focus for 10 sec (up from 8).
  • Piercing Shots – lvl 72. Your critical Aimed, Steady and Chimera Shots cause the target to bleed for 30% of the damage dealt over 8 sec.
  • Mastery: Wild Quiver – lvl 69. Grants a X% chance for your ranged attacks to also instantly fire an additional ranged shot.

Survival

  • Explosive Shot – lvl 10. 44 focus, 40 yard range, instant, 6 sec cooldown. You fire an explosive charge into the enemy target, dealing 574 Fire damage initially and every second for 2 sec.
  • Lock and Load – lvl 43. You have a 100% chance when you trap a target with Freezing Trap or Ice Trap, and a 20% chance when your Black Arrow or Explosive Trap deals damage to cause your next two Explosive Shots to cost no Focus and trigger no cooldown. Effect lasts for 12 sec and cannot occur more often than once every 10 sec.
  • Black Arrow – lvl 50. 35 focus, 40 yard range, instant, 30 sec cooldown. Fires a Black Arrow at the target, dealing 5,180 damage over 20 sec. Black Arrow shares a cooldown with other Fire Trap spells.
  • Entrapment – lvl 55. When your Ice Trap or Snake Trap are triggered you entrap all afflicted targets, preventing them from moving for 4 sec.
  • Viper Venom – lvl 63. You gain 3 Focus each time your Serpent Sting deals damage. This effect has a 3 sec cooldown.
  • Trap Mastery – lvl 64. Reduces the cooldown of all traps and Black Arrow by 6 sec, and provides additional benefits on each Trap: Ice Trap and Freezing Trap – Increases duration by 30%. Explosive Trap and Black Arrow – Increases periodic damage done by 30%. Snake Trap – Increases number of snakes summoned by 4.
  • Serpent Spread – lvl 68. Targets hit by your Multi-Shot are also afflicted by your Serpent Sting.
  • Cobra Shot – lvl 81. 40 yard range, 2 sec cast. Deals 115% weapon damage plus (1+(RAP*0.017)) in the form of Nature damage and increases the duration of your Serpent Sting on the target by 115 sec. Generates 9 Focus.
  • Mastery: Essence of the Viper – Increases all Magical Damage you deal by x%.

Talent Pane

  • Level 15
    • Posthaste Your movement speed is increased by 60% for 4 sec after you use Disengage.
    • Narrow Escape When you Disengage, you also activate a web trap which encases all targets within 8 yards in sticky webs, preventing movement for 3 secs. (Watch a video of Narrow Escape in action)
    • Exilaration When you disengage you are instantly healed for 15% of your total health.
  • Level 30
    • Silencing Shot 40 yd Range, 20 sec cooldown, Instant, A shot that silences the target and interrupts spellcasting for 3 sec.
    • Wyvern Sting 10 focus,  35 yd Range, Instant 1 min cooldown, A stinging shot that puts the target to sleep for 30 secs. Any damage will cancel the effect. When the target wakes up, the sting causes 2,730 Nature Damage over 6 sec. Only one sting per hunter can be active on any target at a time.
    • Binding Shot 20 focus, 30 yrd range, 1.5 min cooldown. You fire a magical projectile, tethering the enemy and any other enemies within 5 yards of the landing arrow for 10 sec. If targets move 5 yards from the arrow they are stunned for 5 sec sec (3 sec PvP) and will be immune to the effects of Binding Shot for 10 sec. (Watch a video of binding shot in action)
  • Level 45
    • Crouching Tiger, Hidden Chimera Reduces the cooldown of Disengage by 10 sec, and the cooldown of Deterrence by 60 sec.
    • Aspect of the Iron Hawk The Hunter takes on the aspects of an iron hawk, increasing ranged attack power by 10%, and reducing all damage taken by 15%. Only one Aspect can be active at a time. Replaces Aspect of the Hawk.
    • Spirit Bond While your pet is active, you and your pet will regenerate 3% of total health every 2 sec.
  • Level 60
    • Fervor: Instant,  30 sec cooldown, Instantly restores 50 focus to you and your pet.
    • Readiness: Instant, 3 Min Cooldown. When activated, this ability immediately finishes the cooldown on all Hunter abilities with a base cooldown less than 6 minutes. (Readiness once again resets the cooldown on Bestial Wrath – Kujaqt)
    • Thrill of the Hunt: You have a 15% chance when you fire a ranged attack that costs Focus and Kill Command to cause your next ranged attack that costs Focus or Kill Command to be free.
  • Level 75: Watch a video of the new level 75 talents in action
    • A Murder of Crows 60 focus, 40 yard range, instant, 60 sec cooldown. Summons a flock of crows to attack your target over the next 30 sec. If used on a target below 20% health, the cooldown will be reset. (Watch video demonstrations of A Murder of Crows by  Winters, Sheppo, or Frostheim)
    • Dire Beast.  40 yard range, 30 second cooldown. Summons a powerful wild animal to assist you in combat for 15 sec.  Each time the animal deals damage, you will gain 5 focus. (Watch videos demonstrating Call Beast by ALT:ernative or Frostheim)
    • Lynx Rush Instant, 100 yard range, 1.5 min cooldown. Your pet rapidly charges from target to target, attacking 9 times over 4 sec, dealing its normal attack damage to each target. The pet must be within 10 yards of the target to Lynx Rush.
  • Level 90: Binding Shot (now level 30) changed to Barrage
    • Glaive Toss 20 Focus, Instant, 15 sec Cooldown. 30% for 3 sec. You hurl two glaives toward a target, each dealing 1 damage to each enemy struck and reducing movement speed by 30% for 3 sec. The primary target will take 4 times as much damage from each strike. The Glaives will return back to you, damaging and snaring targets again as they return.
    • Powershot: 40 focus, 40 yard range, 3 sec cast, 60 sec cooldown. You wind up a powerful shot, which deals 400% weapon damage to the target and 100% weapon damage to all enemies in between you and the target. Enemies hit by Powershot are also knocked back.
    • Barrage 40 Focus, 40 yd range, 3 sec cast (Channeled), 30 sec cooldown, Requires Ranged Weapon. Rapidly fire a spray of shots forward for 3 sec, dealing a total of 288% weapon damage to the target and an average of 72% weapon damage to each other nearby target.

Pandaren Hunters

  • Pandaren Racials:
    • Bouncy: You take half falling damage.
    • Epicurean: Your love of food allows you to receive double the stats from Well Fed effects.
    • Gourmand: Your Cooking skill is increased by 15.
    • Quaking Palm: Strikes the target with lightning speed, incapacitating them for 4 sec, and turns off your attack. 5 yd range, 2 min cooldown, Instant cast.
    • Inner Peace: Your rested experience bonus lasts twice as long as normal.

        • Bite 25 focus, Instant, 3 sec cooldown. Bite the enemy, causing (208 + 40% of RAP * 0.20) damage. Deals 100% more damage and costs 120% more Focus when your pet has 50 or more Focus.
        • Claw 25 focus, Instant, 3 sec cooldown. Claw the enemy, causing (208 + 40% of RAP * 0.20) damage. Deals 100% more damage and costs 120% more Focus when your pet has 50 or more Focus.
        • Smack 25 focus, Instant, 3 sec. cooldown. Smack the enemy, causing (208 + 40% of RAP * 0.20) damage. Deals 100% more damage and costs 120% more Focus when your pet has 50 or more Focus.
      • Cower 45 sec cooldown. Your pet cowers, reducing damage taken by 40% for 6 sec.  While cowering, your pet’s movement speed is reduced by 50%.
      • Growl Melee Range, 8 sec cooldown. Your pet growls at the target, generating threat and taunting the target to attack the pet.
      • Avoidance Passive. Reduces the damage your pet takes from creature area of effect attacks by an additional 90%.
    • Cunning Pets
      • Boar’s Speed Passive. Increases your pet’s movement speed by 30%.
      • Bullheaded Three min cooldon. Removes all movement impairing effects and all effects which cause loss of control of your pet, and reduces damage done to your pet by 20% for 12 sec.
      • Dash  30 focus, instant, 32 sec cooldown. Increases your pet’s movement speed by 80% for 16 sec.
      • Cornered When at less than 35% health, your pet does 50% more damage and has a 60% reduced chance to be critically hit.
      • Roar of Sacrifice Forty yard range, one min cooldown. Protects a friendly target from critical strikes, making attacks against that target unable to be critical strikes, but 20% of all damage taken by that target is also taken by the pet.  Lasts 12 sec.
    • Ferocity Pets
      • Dash 30 focus, instant, 32 sec cooldown. Increases your pet’s movement speed by 80% for 16 sec.
      • Heart of the Phoenix Eight min cooldown. When used, your pet will miraculously return to life with full health.
      • Rabid Two min cooldown. Increases your pet’s attack power by 50% for 20 sec.
      • Spiked Collar Increases the damage done by your pet’s Basic Attacks by 10%, increases your pet’s haste by 10%, and increases your pet’s critical strike chance by 10%.
    • Tenacity Pets
      • Blood of the Rhino Increases all healing effects on your pet by 40%, increasing your pet’s armor by 20%, and reduces your pet’s chance to be critically hit by melee attacks by 6%.
      • Charge   35 focus, 8-25 yard range, instant, 25 sec cooldown. Your pet charges an enemy, immobilizing the target for 1 sec, and increasing the pet’s melee attack power by 25% for its next attack.
      • Great Stamina Increases your pet’s total health by 12%.
      • Last Stand Six minute cooldown. Your pet temporarily gains 30% of its maximum health for 20 sec.  After the effect expires, the health is lost.
      • Thunderstomp Twenty focus, melee range, instant, 10 sec cooldown. Shakes the ground with thundering force, doing (5 + ((RAP * 0.40) * 0.0245)) Nature damage to all enemies within 8 yards.  This ability causes a moderate amount of additional threat.
    • Special Abilites
      • Gore (boar) Instant, 10 second cooldown. Your boar gores the enemy, causing it to take 4% increased physical damage for 30 sec.
      • Stampede (rhino) Instant, 15 second cooldown. Your rhino slams into a nearby enemy, causing it to take 4% increased physical damage for 30 sec.

5/8/12 Aspect of the Beast is now a baseline skill. New ability Fetch: Retrieve loot from a nearby corpse. Revive Pet now returns the pet to life with 100% of its health (up from 15%). Stampede (rhino), Gore (boar), and Tendon Rip (hyena) now cause the enemy to take 4% increased physical damage rather than 30% increased damage from bleeds.

5/4/12 Lord Blastington’s Scope of Doom now sometimes increases Agility by 1800 for 10 sec when dealing damage with ranged attacks.

5/3/12 Build 15662: Glyph of Aspect of the Beast is now a Minor Glyph. Added damage amounts for Smack , Claw, and Bite. Added Leatherworker-only agility leg and bracer enchants.

5/2/12 Added new glyphs: Glyph of Aspect of the Beast and Glyph of Black Ice.

5/1/12 Build 15657: Stampede now only affects your current target. Dire Beast now has a 40 yards range (up from 30). Now attacks your target for 15 sec (up from 12). Now gives you 5 focus every time the beast deals damage (up from 2). Lynx Rush now has a 1.5 min cooldown (down from 2). Trap Mastery now increases the number of snakes summoned by Snake Trap by 4 (down from 6).

4/27/12 The pet must be within 10 yards of the target to Lynx Rush. Beast Cleave now strikes nearby enemies for 70% damage and lasts 4 secs (down from 5). Beast Mastery is now named Exotic Beasts. Agility Leg Armor is named Shadowleather Leg Armor and has two different ilvl tiers.

4/24/12 Build 15640: Concussive Shot has been returned to the game. Arcane Shot now costs 22 Focus, down from 25 Focus. Call Beast is now named Dire Beast. Powershot now deals 400% weapon damage plus 100% weapon damage to all enemies in between you and the target (up from 100% weapon damage + 25% to all enemies). Silencing Shot now has a 40 yard range, up from 35 yards. Go for the Throat now reduces the Focus cost of your pet’s next Basic Attack by 100% for 12 sec. Aimed Shot now deals 160% ranged weapon damage, up from 90% and additional damage increased by 100%. Chimera Shot now costs 44 Focus (down from 50). Rapid Recuperation no longer gives you Focus when you gain Rapid Killing. Black Arrow now costs 35 Focus, is once again Instant, has a 30 sec cooldown, and shares a cooldown with other Fire Trap spells. Explosive Shot now costs 44 Focus (down from 50). Lock and Load now also procs from Explosive Trap. Serpent Spread has been returned to the game. Trap Mastery once again affects Black Arrow. Glyph of Arcane Shot removed. New Glyph of Distracting Shot: Your Distracting Shot now distracts the target to attack your pet instead of you. Glyph of No Escape no longer affects Ice Trap. Growl threat has been increased by 11%. Added Tier 14 set bonuses. Added links to hunter Season 12 PvP gear, new tamable pets post, and pet talent system video.

4/11/12 Build 15589: Added gems and leg armor. Stampede now has a 10 min cooldown, up from 30 sec. Binding Shot now has a 3 sec stun in PvP, down from 5 sec. Readiness now finishes the cooldown on all Hunter abilities with a base cooldown less than 6 minutes. Glyph of Deterrence now increases the damage reduction granted by Deterrence by 20% instead of decreasing the cooldown. Added Glyph of Aspects. Added Wowhead links for all glyphs and most gear.

4/10/12 Snake trap has been changed: Snakes now scale with the hunter for hp, and the vipers now scale with the hunter for melee damage.  Also, the DoT effect is only applied to the NPC/player that triggered the snake trap rather than to all enemies in the area.

4/6/12 Glaive Toss changed; now reduces movement speed by 30% for 3 sec. Also, the primary target will take 4 times as much damage from each strike. Frenzy now lasts 30 seconds (up from 20). Added link to video demonstrating Glyph of Disengage and Glyph of Explosive Trap.

3/29/12 First Beta patch. Added new level 75 Talents: A Murder of Crows, Lynx Rush, and Call Beast (Menagerie and Toxin removed). Black Arrow and Explosive trap no longer share a cooldown. Focus Fire no longer has a 15 sec cooldown and restores 10 Focus (up from 4) to your pet and increases your ranged haste by 8% (up from 3%). Frenzy changed: Your pet has a 40% chance to gain 15% increased attack speed after attacking with a Basic Attack, lasting for 20 sec and stacking up to 5 times. Black Arrow no longer has a 30 sec cooldown, and does 110% weapon damage (up from 85%). Removed the sentence: “Lock and Load cannot trigger from the damage done to these additional targets” from Black Arrow. Lock and Load now has a 10 sec cooldown and no longer procs from Explosive Trap. Trap Mastery no longer affects Black Arrow.  Glaive Toss now has to be cast on a a target rather than in front of you and no longer resets cooldown upon hitting two targets. Powershot now does 25% weapon damage, down from 100%. Concussive Shot is no longer in the game. Glyph of Concussive Shot changed to Glyph of Arcane Shot. Added link to video with Glyph of Arcane Shot and A Murder of Crows.

3/26/12 Added Bite, Claw, and Smack, which now do more damage and cost more focus when the pet has more than 50 focus. Added sections for Pets and Pandaren Hunters. Black Arrow still shares a cooldown with Explosive Trap. Readiness once again resets the cooldown on Bestial Wrath. Stuns break Disengage mid flight but do not teleport the hunter back to the launch site. Added links to Disengage and Beast Cleave videos. Added link to talent pane walk-through video. Moved notes on talents/abilities from Notes to corresponding descriptions. Added Resources section and links.

3/25/12 Beast Cleave works for auto and basic attacks but not for Kill Command. Added WowDB links and text for BM, MM and SV spec abilities. Added links to videos of some talents.

3/24/12 Intimidation is a Beast Mastery specialization ability. Added details for Symbiosis spell. Hunter’s Mark now increases all ranged damage by 5%.
