WoW Hunters Hall August Traffic Report

August is now behind us, and with it the first full month of WoW Hunters Hall traffic data. The WHH admins have been doing a stellar job of keeping on top of everything and keeping the WHH up to date with all the hunter blogs out there. We’ve had some original WHH authored content, including JC Sway’s Soloing Raids and Baleroc Advice, and the launch of Ocastra’s Bug Stalker which tracks all current hunter bugs in the game. I finished the very large four-part series on how to start a WoW blog as well.

On the down side, the vast, vast, vast majority of everyone who signed up to be an author never wrote a word (which is about right — that’s why so many blogs never last even a couple months — it’s not easy) and more disappointingly many of the curators vanished or were unable to keep up. Both of these put more work in the hands of the admins.

Traffic Overview

In August WoW Hunters Hall has 47,281 visits and 111,945 page views, with a total of 21,820 unique visitors. Visitors spent an average of 2:26 time on the site each visit.

The vast majority of WHH traffic came from referring traffic from another site (70.19%). Search engines brought in 12.11% of traffic, and the majority of that was for branded phrases (searches for a variation of “WoW Hunters Hall”). However this does show a large surge over last month’s 4.31% search engine traffic, which is very nice to see.
