Japskidin has been soloing his way through every instance in the game at the level intended for each dungeon/raid. In this video he shows a comparison between soloing the Qiraji Gladiators in the Ruins of Ahn’Qiraj (AQ 20) on his level 60 hunter before, and after the recent patch. He found that the Gladiators were hitting his turtle for considerably more damage after the patch.

Mobs seem to ignore pet armor completely. My pet only lost 6-7% dmg reduction from armor. Bugging or working as intended? Even with shell shield on they 2 shot my pet. Oh well I’ll try bosses later.
