The Grumpy Elf: Our beloved Concussive Shot is back in the game.
I made a post about it a short while back saying how much I would miss it. Now with the addition back into the game I can say how happy I am to see it has returned. There were various reasons why I believed it was better than having Arcane Shot gylphed to work like Concussive and it seems there were many others that felt the same way.
From the input coming out of the beta they have made the decision to remove the glyph and reinstate Concussive Shot once again. For as often as I say they seem to forget about us hunters it seems like they stepped up to the plate on this one and listened to the people. Thanks Blizzard and thanks to all those in the hunter community that stood up and said something in a productive manner instead of ranting and raving. I do feel Concussive Shot is Alot better than the Arcane Shot glyph, especially since you can mouseover target it to another enemy without “wasting” focus that could be used for damage on your main target but i see why they made the change in the first place.
Currently i am even getting to the stage in cataclysm where i have to many spells (right number of spells but too many necessary macro variations of spells to play optimally)
Concussive Shot was removed to free Up more space especially since all hunters will be using 3 new abilities (stampede, lv 75 and 90 talents) But we just couldn’t afford to lose it.
That’s what i propose a new Glyph of Arcane Shot, one that resets the duration of concussive shot on the target When you use arcane shot.
Although this doesn’t remove any button space it changes concussive shot into a slightly more used version of how serpent sting is in pve to concussive shot in pvp. A button u only need to push Ocasionally and thus allow you to move it to a less important keybind, an alt / shift modified key bind instead of a base button as u will no longer need to use it while jump shooting.
And the great thing is You can still use concussive shot as you do now if you think that’s best, but if you want it its there for you!
